Oven temperature converter

Enter a temperature and convert conventional heat to fan or the other way around. The tool uses a 20 °C difference as a practical starting point.

PEK separates the mathematical conversion from the baking decision: fan heat usually needs a lower setting, but the result may need adjustment for the oven, product, size and desired browning.

How PEKI converts oven temperature

When converting from conventional to fan heat, the tool subtracts 20 °C. When converting from fan to conventional heat, it adds 20 °C. This is a deterministic conversion; the final setting remains a baking judgement for the specific product and oven.
